Teaching Material and Advanced Training for “Flight as a Part of Life – Biographical Learning with Adolescents.”

The teaching material “Flight as a Part of Life – Biographical Learning with Adolescents” tells the stories of three refugees from the past and present: Anne Frank from Germany, Hava from Kosovo and Marah from Syria. It is aimed at young people aged 14 and older.

The material deals with the complexity of flight and arrival and sensitizes young people to historical continuities of racism, discrimination and antisemitism. It opens up spaces for reflection about the reality of refugees’ lives. “Flight as a Part of Life” is suitable for use in class or in a non-school environment. The complete material is available online and accessible free of charge.

For teachers and educators, the Anne Frank Zentrum offers advanced training on the teaching material and the educational methods it uses.

Target groups: teachers and educators as well as teenagers aged 14 and older
