International Networking: ENCATE

Platform ENCATE: European Network – Countering Antisemitism through Education

ENCATE sees education as an essential tool to counter antisemitism and it connects European organizations that offer related educational programs. It is a platform for sharing, learning and increasing effectiveness together. ENCATE was founded by KIgA e.V., which also coordinates the project.

ENCATE is above all a platform for co-learning and exchanges among member organizations to facilitate access to new knowledge, educational opportunities and skills. The member organizations research and exchange new methods, theoretical approaches and materials in the field of education in an effort to prevent current forms of antisemitism.

ENCATE also aims to make educational institutions more visible and better known and to strengthen different target groups against antisemitism. Communication strategies are developed to reach actors who support the activities of ENCATE members.

ENCATE has brought together member and observer organizations from eleven different countries.

Current list of member organizations (as of June 2020):

Target groups: European educators, education institutions and decision-makers
